Ancient flavors made of wisdom and traditions passed down from generation to generation. Lo Matsòn is the farmer’s market where artisans share the fruits of their labor. Among the stalls, it is possible to taste excellences made “like in the old days”. The products narrate the identity of a people, the Alpine people, between the past and the contemporary. Just as the land is cultivated, so are relationships. Lo Matsòn becomes a place of stories, as well as products: from the family that has been making cheese for generations, to the new frontiers of agriculture rediscovering thousand-year old practices. Proud, brave, sincere faces, these are the souls of Courmayeur and Aosta Valley. Rediscover a rural identity gathered in the same place, for a day dedicated to food, conviviality, and laughter.
Lo Matsòn takes place every first Sunday of September in the heart of Via Roma, the pedestrian center of Courmayeur Mont Blanc.
